This summer heat wave has nothing on our July OzoThings! While school may not be in session that hasn’t stopped Ozobot lovers from coding and creating! From creating programs in Ozobot Blockly to drawing out different sequences with Color Codes to make compound words, Evo has been busy keeping up with your summertime creations.
Check out some of our favorite STEAM projects and lessons we’ve seen this month.
Literacy and Robots
Ms. Laforet at Camp Discovery in Greater Essex County, used her love of literacy and robots to help her students create compound words! After creating their word, students used Color Codes to have Evo trace and underline their word! What a fun activity and great learning tool! Keep up the great work Ms. Laforet!
Evo the Musical Robot
We know Evo can be a bit chatty when using Ozobot Blockly, but who knew Evo could sing too? Mark Britt uses Evo in his music class to create a music track that his students can sign along to! This helps with his students’ pre-literacy skills and is a great way to keep students engaged in the classroom.
Looking for other musical lessons? Head over to Ozobot Classroom and search in the lesson section to find the best lesson for you and your students!
Rain can’t Stop STEAM
Camp Twelve Trails doesn’t let a little rain ruin their summer fun! Evo can make the rainiest days fun, trust us! The campers spent their time inside making straw rockets and coding with Evo using Color Codes. Looks like a blast!
Color Codes is Key
Campers at the Limestone District School Board’s Read-A-Lot Summer Literacy Program are putting their Color Codes skills to the test this summer! Using a fill in the blank map, campers had to pick the correct code to help Evo through the map.

ISTE and STEAM Kits!
We had so much fun at ISTE and we’re thrilled to see that attendees were excited about all of our latest and greatest offerings! We had so much fun showing off our new STEAM Kits and we can’t wait until you can use them in the classroom! If you haven’t yet, join the waitlist for STEAM Kits.
Thank you to all our educators who shared their students’ creations. We love seeing all of your ideas and creativity! Keep the wonderful ideas coming, and be sure to tag @Ozobot or #Ozobot in your creations this summer for a chance to be featured in our next roundup of favorite #OzoThings.
