How to Install and Update Ari Apps

Step-by-step instructions for installing and updating your Ari apps.

Instructional Video

If you are not able to connect Ari to a WiFi network then you can update all apps, install all new apps, and update the Operating System (Firmware) with this web tool.  This web tool will send all updates to Ari by connecting Ari to your computer with a USB cable.  Go to this link and follow the instructions.

Step 1

Swipe left to begin exploring Ari’s lesson folders, and select Computer Science.

Step 2

Select the Blockly App.

Step 3

Ensure Ari is connected to Editor over WiFi.  Ari Apps cannot be updated when Ari is connected to Editor over BLE due to the file size of the apps.  You will see the “Ready” status above Ari in the Device Manager panel. Then select “Open App Store”.

Step 4

A pop-up will display a list of apps that can be updated. Updates can be done one-by-one or all together.

Below, the “Available” section displays the list of apps available to install.
