How to Install and Update Ari Apps

Step-by-step instructions for installing and updating your Ari apps.

If your Ari is not connected to WiFi, follow these instructions to update your Ari Apps by connecting Ari to your computer with a USB cable.

Step 1

If you previously used this micropage updater then you must restart your computer to refresh the cache.

Step 2

Go to this website in Chrome browser to access the Ari App updater.

Step 3

Power on your Ari and wait for it to boot up. Plug Ari into your computer with a USB cable and press the “Select Device” button.

Step 4

Select Ari in the pop up menu and press "Connect".

Step 5

Press the "Installed" tab on the left side of the menu. This will show all installed apps, and which apps can be updated. Press the "Update All" button to update every app and wait for the updates to complete.

Step 6

To repeat the process with another Ari, plug in the next Ari, refresh your browser and continue from Step 3 above. We recommend checking for new Ari apps twice per school year, generally at the start of the year and again at winter break. You can find and install new apps by going to the Explore tab on the left side. Here is the link that you can bookmark to update your Aris with USB: https://appstore.ozobot.com/

If your Ari is connected to WiFi, follow these instructions to update your Ari Apps.

Step 1

Swipe left to begin exploring Ari’s lesson folders, and scroll down to System.

Step 2

Select the Settings App.

Step 3

Go to General > Updates > App Updates. Then press Update All. The app update will take several minutes depending on the number of apps to be updated.

Step 4

After all apps are updated, you will no longer see the Update All button, and you will see all the installed apps. New apps that are available will be automatically installed when your Ari is on WiFi. You can now use your Ari!
