Ari OS Updates | Update the Operating System on Ari

If your Ari is not connected to WiFi, follow these instructions to update your Ari OS by connecting Ari to your computer with a USB cable

Step 1

If you previously used this micropage updater then you must restart your computer to refresh the cache.

Step 2

Go to this website in Chrome browser to access the Ari OS updater.

Step 3

Power on your Ari and wait for it to boot up. Plug Ari into your computer with a USB cable and press the “Update” button.

Step 4

Select Ari in the pop up menu and press "Connect". If your Ari displays a white on black text screen, then scroll down and press “Allow”.

Step 5

When Ari's screen turns black with a small text that says "No command", unplug Ari from the USB cable and then plug Ari back in.

Step 6

Select Ari in the pop up menu and press "Connect".

Step 7

The update will start automatically and you will see the progress.

Step 8

After the OS update finishes, Ari will reboot. Now you will be prompted to update all the Ari apps so that they are in sync with the latest OS version. Unplug Ari from the USB cable and then plug Ari back in. Go to the Installed tab of the app updater and press “Update all” to update all apps. Follow these instructions to update Ari over WiFi

Ari must already be connected to a WiFi network. To connect Ari to WiFi see these instructions.

Step 1

Swipe left to begin exploring Ari’s lesson folders, and scroll down to System.

Step 2

Select the Settings App.

Step 3

Go to General > Updates > System Update. If the screen says there is an OS update available then press Install. The installation will take several minutes.

Step 4

When the update has completed, press the Reboot button. After Ari has rebooted, some system apps may auto-install. After these apps have finished installing, you can start to use Ari.

Step 5

To check the operating system (Firmware) version on Ari, open the Settings app. Go to General > About > scroll down to Build Fingerprint. You will see the currently installed operating system on Ari.

Step 6

To update the apps on Ari, go to General > Updates > App Updates. Then press Update All. The app update will take several minutes depending on the number of apps to be updated.

Step 7

After all apps are updated, you will no longer see the Update All button, and you will see all the installed apps. New apps that are available will be automatically installed when your Ari is on WiFi. You can now use your Ari.
