Updating the Operating System on Ari

Step-by-step instructions to update the operating system on your Ari robot(s).

If you are not able to connect Ari to a WiFi network then you can update all apps, install all new apps, and update the Operating System (Firmware) with this web tool.  This web tool will send all updates to Ari by connecting Ari to your computer with a USB cable. Go to this link and follow the instructions.

Follow these instructions to update Ari over WiFi

Ari must already be connected to a WiFi network.  To connect Ari to WiFi see these instructions.

Step 1

Swipe left to begin exploring Ari’s lesson folders, and scroll down to System.

Step 2

Select the Settings App.

Step 3

Go to General > Updates > System Update. If the screen says there is an OS update available then press Install. The installation will take several minutes.

Step 4

When the update has completed, press the Reboot button. After Ari has rebooted, some system apps may auto-install. After these apps have finished installing, you can start to use Ari.

Step 5

To check the operating system (Firmware) version on Ari, open the Settings app. Go to General > About > scroll down to Build Fingerprint. You will see the currently installed operating system on Ari.
