The All-Time Spookiest OzoThings You’ve Shared With Us

Happy Halloween, OzoSquad! Tonight, the streets will be lined with eager children in costumes, making their way to each house in hopes of scoring the best candy. Do you remember the days when you’d come home and dump your buckets out to sort through what you received? Maybe your parents had to check all your candy before you were allowed to eat them, or perhaps you and your siblings traded for your favorites.

Whatever your personal traditions were, there is no doubt that every kid loves Halloween, and Bit and Evo only heighten that excitement!

Check out these fun, engaging activities we have seen shared with us over the years for Halloween!

Haunted House Project

This Pre-K project was shared with us back in 2017 by @suzmmcg on Twitter. Bit, dressed up like a witch, bravely strolls through a haunted house filled with spiders, skeletons, and ghosts! Luckily, these Pre-K students know their codes and were able to get Bit out of there with the help of the Nitro Boost Color Code! Whew!

Ozobot Costumes!

There are so many different costume ideas out there these days. Kids can be a character from a horror movie, a princess, a superhero, an animal, and more! Kids also have the most creative ideas for costumes, including costumes for their Ozobots! Check out these sweet designs, made by Kristin Miller’s second graders last year.

Dia De Los Muertos Activity

We love seeing lessons and activities from our Lesson Library being utilized in the classroom, especially ones that involve costumes! Jahaira Ortiz’s students dressed up their Evos and enjoyed our Dia De Los Muertos activity.

AHHH, a spider!! Many of us at Ozobot HQ are freaked out by the eight-legged insects, but we are happy to say that Evo is a friend of the Arachnids! We love this spider costume and web design from Little Problem Solvers! Somehow, Evo dressing up as a spider is MUCH less scary.

It’s #techplaytuesday and the theme this week is Halloween Tech Play! 🕷 ⠀⁣ ⠀⁣ We dressed up our @ozobot in a spider costume using felt and pipe cleaners (please excuse it being a 6 legged spider. I created him while seriously lacking in sleeping 😆) We drew a web for Mr. Robot Spider to spin!⠀⁣ ⠀⁣ The Ozobot has color codes that it will read on the paper to perform certain actions. I drew the code for turn around (blue red blue) on all the ends of the web to keep Mr. Spider on the web and a color code for him to spin in the middle 🤗 ⁣ ⁣ Head to our website (link in bio) and get your own free printable Ozobot Web so you can do this at home!⁣ Check out the rest of the team, follow along and join in! ⁣⠀⠀⠀⁣ @happy_explorers ⁣⠀⠀⠀⁣ @littleproblemsolvers⁣⠀⠀⠀⁣ @marvelousmsm⁣⠀⠀⠀⁣ @stemthemyoung⁣⠀⠀⠀⁣ @thestemmum⁣⠀⠀⠀⁣ @raspberryrockets⠀⠀⠀⁣ .⠀⠀⠀⁣ .⠀⠀⠀⁣ #prekcoding #codingforkids #womenintech #stemeducation #earlychildhoodeducation #earlylearning #playbasedlearning #handsonlearning #preschoolactivities #homeeducator #homeschool #preschoolathome #learningthroughplay #invitationtolearn #stayathomemom #sensoryplay #ozobot #toddleractivities #busytoddler #playandlearn #playdiscovercreate #stemkidschallenge #playideas #everydayplayhacks #earlyyears #halloween_simple_play #robotsforkids #hackhalloween #ozosquad

Pumpkin Party Coaster

Ozobot roller coasters are some of our favorite creations that we have seen shared with us on social media. This Pumpkin Party Coaster, created by fifth grade students, has a really spooky hidden photo! You can see Bit travel through the pumpkin tunnel, and its bright LED light reveals a skeleton! SO creative!

We are changing up November’s OzoThings to feature our all-time favorite fall-inspired things shared with us on social media! Be sure to tag us in your Ozobot creations new and old to be featured next month! Just tag us @Ozobot and/or #OzoSquad! We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
