May OzoThings

Schools across the nation are celebrating their love for STEM, with creative activities that include soccer matches and story mapping to coding challenges on and off screen! Have a look at these inspired creations below and shop your own STEM kits, coding robots and more online at shop.ozobot.com.

Strikkke!

The 5th graders at Troy City School District used Ozobot for a STEM bowling activity. They practiced fractions to sharpen their math skills for the NYS test!

Story Time

The students at Melzer Elementary have been thoroughly enjoying the book “Sam and Dave Dig a Hole” by Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen. Using special moves and direction Color Codes, they programmed their Ozobots to recreate the characters’ adventurous journey.

Ahoy!

This 5th-grade classroom set sail on an adventure by designing cargo ships and mapping the Pacific Ocean and Panama Canal for their Ozobots, using card stock and color codes. They explored exports and imports throughout Asia as part of their AAPI month celebrations.

Treasure Hunt

Salem Elementary’s first graders embarked on an exciting exploration of 3D shapes. Using their Ozobot coding robots, they first reviewed the names of 3D shapes and then went on a treasure hunt to find real-life examples!

Regional Mapping

Students at Wescott Elementary amazed everyone during their US regions project presentations. They coded Ozobots to travel maps of the West and Southwest regions of the United States, stopping at QR codes linked to informative apps about each area. What a creative approach to making geography fun and interactive!

Goal!

Mr. Mardian’s students crafted a soccer field and wrote a program for Evo to count goals and dodge opponents. They used variables and conditional statements to make it happen!

Ozobot Challenge

The Ozobot Challenge was a big hit at NIHF STEM for students in Akron Public Schools! Thanks to Goodyear, these young scholars got to show off their skills in a thrilling STEM competition.

Short Sentences

At Salem Elementary, students practiced making sentences by arranging words into full sentences to teach Ozobot how to use them!
