Crushing on Creativity: Artists and Ozobot
Valentine’s Day and the month of February tend to be focused on the present moment. A short-term sugar rush from too much chocolate. Roses that don’t last more than a day. A current crush. At Ozobot, we’ve got a different kind of crush: on creativity. We can’t get enough of the ways artists and creators of all ages create with our robots.
We believe tech skills alone don’t spur big ideas—creative visions do. That's why education needs to span science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math (STEAM). Whether you see yourself as a future artist or astronaut, our goal is to kick start your creativity and coding skills, with playtime that strengthens your whole mind. Here are some ways we’re doing just that, and reclaiming February for future possibilities.
Ozobot x Crafterina
OzoBlog writer Heather Myers touched base with ballerina, artist, and author Vanessa Salgado. Vanessa wrote the children’s book Crafterina, and shared her unique take on STEAM with us:I often describe learning in dance as ‘tinkering with your whole body. … Although an internal investigation, it is done with careful instructions, years of dedicated practice, and constant problem solving. The human body is ever evolving! It is like learning to code in your own body!Insert all the heart emojis here.
