We have an exciting lineup of STEM activities this month that will engage your students in coding, creativity, and hands-on learning! Whether you’re celebrating Space Day, exploring the science of pollination, or gearing up for end-of-year testing, these interactive, standards-aligned lessons are designed to keep learning both fun and engaging, with something for every grade level to explore.
Evo Lessons
Stargazing with Ozobot: Recreate a Constellation (Color Codes)
Celebrate National Space Day on May 2nd! In this STEM lesson, students will create and draw their own constellations, then use Color Codes to program Ozobot to glide across their starry night skies.
Academic Standards: ISTE, NGSS, CSTA
Grade Levels: 1-3
Subjects: Science, Computer Science, Art, Engineering/Tech
Pollination Garden
In this STEM lesson, students create an interactive model of a flower garden to explore the role animals play in pollination. Then, students collect data on which flowers were pollinated.
Academic Standards: ISTE, NGSS, CSTA
Grade Levels: 2
Subjects: Science
Study with Ozobot!
Just in time for end-of-year testing, we’ve created a study guide activity with a twist! In this lesson, students will program Ozobot with random movement using Ozobot Blockly. Wherever the bot lands, students will answer a study question—perfect for practicing any subject in a fun, interactive way.
Academic Standards: ISTE, CSTA
Grade Levels: K-8
Subjects: Math, Science, Social Studies, Computer Science, ELA, Engineering/Tech
Hockey Simulator Level 1 Movement
In Level 1 of the Hockey Simulator, students explore the full hockey program and learn to build autonomous movement using conditionals, loops, and sensors. This is the first lesson in a 5-part series.
Academic Standards: CSTA, ISTE
Grade Levels: 6-8
Subjects: Computer Science
Ari Lessons
Ari’s Pollination Garden
Put on your botanist hat! In this activity, students create a flower garden and program Ari the robot to act like a pollinator. Track which flowers Ari visits, then compare the data to see pollination patterns in action.
Academic Standards: CSTA, ISTE, NGSS, CCSS, NBTC
Grade Levels: 1-3
Subjects: Math, Science, Computer Science, ELA, Engineering/ Tech
Animal Life Cycles
In this lesson, students will design interactive diagrams to show the life cycles of two different organisms. Then, they’ll program Ari to travel along each life cycle path. Afterward, students will compare and contrast the two cycles to see how living things grow and change in different ways!
Academic Standards: CSTA, ISTE, NGSS
Grade Levels: 3-4
Subjects: Science
Zodiac Constellations
In this lesson, students will step into the role of astronomers, discovering how constellations appear at different times of the year. As Ari simulates Earth’s orbit around the sun, students will identify and sketch the constellations.
Academic Standards: CSTA, ISTE, NGSS
Grade Levels: 5-6
Subjects: Science, Computer Science, ELA, Engineering/ Tech
Product Lessons- Challenge Mats
Soccer Challenge Mat Lesson 3: Finishing vs Shooting
Help students perfect their soccer shooting skills with Ozobot by coding for precision in both close-range goals and long shots, boosting problem-solving abilities along the way.
Academic Standards: CSTA
Grade Levels: 4-8
Subjects: Computer Science, Engineering/ Tech
Mars Challenge Mat Lesson 3: Cry for Help
Join Ozobot on an exciting mission to Mars! Decode signals to bring a lost rover back to life and uncover the planet’s secrets. Use coding and curiosity to explore what’s been discovered and what lies ahead!
Academic Standards: CSTA, NGSS
Grade Levels: 4-8
Subjects: Computer Science, Engineering/ Tech
