The month of March is already coming to an end. Our Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook feeds have been filled with Dr. Seuss activities, Women’s History Month inspo, and St. Patrick’s Day lessons. The spring season is upon us, symbolizing growth and new beginnings, which we’ve also loved seeing this month! We’re excited to share with you some of our favorite photos and videos shared with us from March.
Rhyming & Coding With Dr. Seuss
This fun lesson, shared on Teachers Pay Teachers by TheLibrariAnne, was a big hit with educators! In this lesson, to honor Dr. Seuss’ birthday on March 2, students used Color Codes to move their Ozobot to the -at words. First graders at Brookdale School dressed up in Thing 1 and Thing 2 hats while completing the challenge!

Meghan Davis’s fifth grade class made a Color Coded timeline of Ella Fitzgerald’s life and accomplishments. We love this crossover of Black History Month with Women’s History Month!

Mrs. Beaty’s class used Color Codes to help Bit make it to the end of the rainbow and collect the pot of gold, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. Those leprechaun costumes are so cool! This lesson can easily be recreated by drawing a map with obstacles for your Ozobot to capture the gold.
OzoBlockly Success
Seven-year-old Austin programmed a super-awesome Dodger dance in OzoBlockly for his Evo. Upon completion of this program, he has now moved up to Intermediate Level 3. Way to go, Austin! We are proud of your increased knowledge of block coding and can’t wait to see what you come up with next!

Feeling nostalgic yet? Cindy Gonzalez’s class recreated the once-popular computer game for their Bits! One Bit acted as the covered wagon, while others were goldmines, buffalo, and steamboats. We are happy to say that no Bits died of dysentery in this game!

We always love to see girls engaged in STEAM, but since March is Women’s History Month, we especially enjoyed these photos of girls coding with OzoBlockly! Lindsay Kahrs’ third grade class used OzoBlockly to find the greatest fraction. Way to go, girls!

Barbora Meskarova shared this really unique idea using stop-motion video to create an Ozobot fashion show! Her Bit dressed up in different costumes and walked the runway, doing a spin in the middle and at the end. Which outfit was your favorite?
