It’s that time of year again–back to school! We’re in awe at how quickly the summer has flown by, and we hope our educators had time to decompress with some well-deserved R&R after a school year unlike one we’ve seen before.
As educators gear up for school to start, we’ve rounded up our favorite OzoThings for this back-to-school season to get you inspired!
Evo and Doh
Teacher Jenna Jaramillo led what looks to be the most fun STEAM activity we’ve seen all summer! Her students showed their creativity making “Something Elses,” and boy, we are impressed. Students dressed their Ozobots in Play-Doh, and we love what they made. Keep up the creativity, Jenna!
Evo the Stunt Robot
Evo does gymnastics with Headmaster @RamsaierKlaus. Students used Color Codes to code Evo to perform a somersault off a block (or should we say, a balance beam?), then continue on its way to achieving its next stunt, a spin, before completing its floor routine. We’d give these moves a 10/10!
Emoji of Feelings
For #WorldEmojiDay, EdTech Teacher Katie Exum’s students used our Color Code Emoji activity. Students were instructed to select an option from the Color Code bank to fit each emotion within the activity best. We’re so happy to see that Evo Nitro Boosted and Tornado’d its way into your class Katie!
Warehouse Logistics For The Win
@AYFprimary asked students to solve problems high-power CEOs attempt to resolve. Using OzoBlockly, students programmed Evo to take inventory of an Amazon Warehouse with instructions to code the bot to prevent it from bumping into thousands of pounds worth of merchandise. After a bit of trial and error, there is no doubt these students will go on to do great things. We are so happy that Ozobot can help solve real-world logistical problems and can’t wait to see what your students create next!
Robots and ELA
Elementary STEAM Teacher Miss STEAM took the summer robotics program to the next level, integrating The Little Red Fort with Color Codes. Third-grade students were advised to sequence the book to show the flow of events. We love when educators introduce ELA, and other subjects, along with CS! Continue with the great work!
DIY Science Experiments
Ozobot Certified Educator Nikki Jones put her robots away (just for the weekend, of course). She introduced her kids to a project shared on one of our most popular blog posts to date, Top 8 DIY Science Experiments You Need to Try with Your Kids. These science experiments can be done at home or school and are great projects to engage young minds in STEAM activities. Nikki, thank you for sharing your sweet kids and their curiousness for all things STEAM.
