Our Favorite Earth Day-Inspired OzoThings

We love our planet! You know what else we love? Seeing your Ozobot creations shared on social media! For the month of April, we’re combining the two to bring you our favorite Earth Day-inspired OzoThings.

From journeys around the sun, to spreading the word about endangered habitats, to learning about renewable and non-renewable energy sources, we’re excited to showcase some fun and engaging Ozobot projects to get your green thumb inspired this year!

Endangered Ani-Bots

Janemarie McKay’s students are spreading the word (with Color Codes!) about Golden Lion Tamarins and how they are losing their Atlantic Coastal Rainforest habitat. They even dressed up their bot to look like one of the Tamarins! We love to see important Earth Day topics, such as this, brought to life with Evo

Here Comes The Sun

Jacqueline Firster’s first-grade students dressed up their Ozobot Evo as the Earth, then programmed it to travel around the sun using Color Codes. They had to include one rotation and record their progress. Super cool!

Moon Phase Fun

Earth to Ozobot, we’re traveling around the moon! Dakota Smith’s third graders also dressed up their Evo as the Earth and used Color Codes to show the moon phases. We love the creativity of this lesson! Great job, students!

Parts of a Plant

Flowers and robots and science, oh my! We love this lesson from Tessa Healy’s third grade students where they identified the different parts of a plant and then used Color Codes to code their way through them! What an engaging learning experience!

Testing… Testing…

Did you know that Evo has two proximity sensors in the front? If you place your hand in front of your Evo, it will detect that something is in the way and stop. Zee Ann Poerio’s students tested their bot’s sensors during their “path of learning” water project in this fun video. It seems Evo’s sensors are working just fine!

Stay tuned for next month’s OzoThings post and be sure to share your creations on social media and use #Ozobot for a chance to be featured! We can’t wait to see what you create!
