If you’re new to Ozobot’s remote-friendly Learn Anywhere lesson series, start with Weeks 1-4 to introduce students to their Ozobots and Color Code basics. Once you’ve completed those intro lessons, dive into the lessons below. These lessons use Ozobot Evo and Color Codes to increase student engagement, integrate CS, and get kids working hands-on from anywhere.

Week 7: Math

Grades 2-5
Color Codes

Recommended pacing: 1 lesson per week
Length of each lesson: 30-45 mins

Grade 2: Odd or Even Shopping

Students will count objects by 2s to determine if a total is odd or even. Then, they’ll write equations to show how even totals and odd totals are made. They’ll use Color Codes to show the odd and even groups of objects Ozobot will shop for.

Grade 3: Rounding Fun

Students will use a number line to round whole numbers to the nearest 10 or 100. From there, students will use Color Codes to program Ozobot to move to the correct rounded number.

Grade 4: Division Race with Remainders

Students will solve long division problems with one-digit divisors, and a remainder, while racing with their Ozobot. Students will use Color Codes to program Ozobot’s speed and adjust the difficulty.

Grade 5: Maze of Operations

For this lesson, students will practice using the order of operations to solve equations and decode missing Color Codes to complete a maze for their Ozobot to move through.
