Fireworks, camps, making new friends, and playing games all day long? Must be summer, and July can easily be considered the heart of it. Our hearts are full with the amazing creations we have seen this month from our #OzoSquad!
STEAM camps are in full swing, Independence Day was a blast (see what we did there?), and educators continue to find ingenious ways to spotlight Social and Emotional Learning. Here are some of our favorite OzoThings involving these themes!
Bit, you’re a firework!
@littleproblemsolvers created our favorite kind of firework… using Bits and Color Codes! Spoiler Alert: it’s one of those amazing fireworks that continues to fall gracefully to the earth after it explodes in the sky.
The American flag, in Color Codes!
Code With Chloe on Twitter created this eye-catching American flag to celebrate Independence Day. We love her use of Color Codes here!
Angry Bit?
We all remember the fun app called Angry Birds. In the game, the player shoots a bird into the air to knock down obstacles. The popular game was reinvented using Bits by Mac Academy on Instagram! Looks like it was a super fun STEAM camp activity!
Coding in a FLASH
Jason Trapp, @jjtrapp on Twitter, and his STEAM camp students showed off their STEAM skills by coding with OzoBlockly this month! We love this photo showing two students flash-loading their program onto their Ozobot. They look super engaged! Well done!
Let me introduce myself
Stephanie Chambers, one of our Ozobot Certified Educators, created this awesome “get to know me” activity! She will be using this in her upcoming STEAM story writing camp. We love how this ties in to social emotional learning, by inviting campers to practice self- and social- awareness.
Do you have some creative Ozo-content you want to share with us? Go ahead and tag us @ozobot and #ozosquad for a chance to be featured in the next social recap, coming up at the end of August!
